A quick Poke with ingredients that I had on hand, as well as a recipe from a cookbook that I found in Hawaii, I think it’s by Chef Sam Choy!

~Ginger/Lime Poke~

1/2 lb Sushi Grade Ahi

2 tsp sesame oil

2 tsp ginger juice (I didn’t have fresh ginger)

juice from 1 lime

2 green onion

1 tsp dry Harissa or chili flakes

Pink Himalayan Salt & Pepper

Dice the Ahi into 1/2 inch pieces & place in a bowl.

Thinly slice the whites of the green onion and mix with seasonings in a small bowl then pour over Ahi and toss.

Place in refrigerator for at least an hour.

Tips for Poke recipes:

~If a Poke recipe calls for soy sauce, substitute gluten free tamari.

~Firmly roll limes on the counter before cutting and juicing to help get more juice out of the lime.
